Common Questions

Everything you need to know before getting started.

Do I need a finished talk before starting?

No. A compelling talk title and write-up is enough to start applying. Once you get accepted with a date on the calendar, you'll have the motivation and deadline to finalize your content. Many successful speakers in our program started applying before their decks were finished.

Do you target pay-to-play events?

Never intentionally. If a pay-to-play event slips through (some don't advertise it upfront), we remove it from our database immediately. Our goal is to connect you with legitimate opportunities, not vendor showcases.

What kinds of events do you target?

Business conferences across industries — PMI, SHRM, ASCM, ATD, tech conferences, HR summits, leadership events, and hundreds more. We match your specific talks to relevant event tracks (leadership, IT, HR, management, etc.) so every application is targeted.

Will I actually get paid to speak?

About 25% of events offer honorariums or speaker fees, and another 30-40% cover travel expenses plus registration. The remainder are unpaid, but you always decide which to accept. Clients have booked keynotes worth $4,000-$7,000+ through this process. Many speakers also generate significant revenue from coaching, consulting, and workshops that come from stage visibility.

How soon will I see results?

Applications go out within your first week. However, conference committee reviews typically take 3-6 months, which is why we recommend committing to at least 3 months. Results compound over time — the longer you stay active, the stronger your pipeline becomes.

How much of my time does this require?

After onboarding (about 30-60 minutes), your main touchpoint is reviewing the weekly Friday report. We handle everything else unless a rare situation needs your input. Most clients spend less than 15 minutes per week on the program.

Can I swap out my talks?

Absolutely. We support up to 3 active talks at any time, and you can rotate them based on what's performing best or what's most relevant to upcoming events. We'll even advise on which topics we think will get the highest acceptance rates.
